There is a needle in my neck. Do you feel it? I think it's crawling in my veins--I keep hearing it make slithering, chittering noises, and it's making me itchy. Here; put your fingers on my neck. Don't you feel the needle? I can feel it injecting something... tickling my throat... it tastes like chewed maggots. It's making me vomit, though I don't know how to swim in something so thick and viscous. I never learned how, and my lungs are having a hard time with the bile. Don't you feel the needle? It's getting louder, going deeper...

Oh... it found its way into my eyes now. I can see it crawling around inside there. It keeps going deeper. My sinuses are red; my nose is bleeding. Why is my nose bleeding?

You don't feel the needle?

The needle keeps going deeper. It's already coagulated by the time it hits the floor. My tongue is bleeding. The blood is already coagulated by the time it hits the floor.

Ah, now I understand. My eyes need to be sewn shut--sight is a curse; blindness the blessing bestowed by the worm. It feeds because I have food to give, it swims in my eyes because they are oh so warm and soft...

The needle says I need to be quiet now. It's cutting out my tongue. I would ask it not to, but I cannot speak. It's cutting out my tongue. The tongue has already stopped bleeding by the time it hits the floor.

Wait, why didn't my teeth hold it in? Where have my teeth gone?
